How to use it

  1. Choose partition wall or suspended ceiling.
  2. Enter the length and height (or the ceiling area) and deduct openings.
  3. Set the faces, the layers of board, the board size and the spacing.
  4. Read the boards, studs, track or channels and screws.

Frequently asked questions

How many studs for a partition?

One stud every 40 or 60 cm centre to centre plus one at the end, as set by the system you use. Add the extra studs around doors according to its data sheet.

Does it include joint compound and insulation?

No. It counts boards, studs, track or channels and screws. Joint compound, tape, insulation and specific fire, acoustic or moisture boards depend on the system.

Why a waste of 10 %?

Cuts around openings and at the ends leave offcuts. 10 % suits simple rooms; use more when there are many cut-outs.
