Site Mix vs Ready-Mixed Concrete (cost comparison)

Enter the volume of the pour and the proportions of your site mix, then type your own prices: the cement bag, the sand and the gravel per m³, the mixing labour, and for ready-mixed concrete the price per m³, the pump and the delivery. PRAXAO gives the bags to buy, the total and the cost per m³ of each option, and the difference between them. No price is built in: nothing appears until you have typed them. The example figures are illustrative, not market prices. The tool compares costs: it does not choose a concrete class or weigh quality, workability or delay.

Frequently asked questions

Which prices does it use?

Only those you type. None is built in or guessed, so the comparison reflects your own suppliers and your own site.

Does it say which concrete is better?

No. It compares costs. Quality, workability, the strength class, the delay and the equipment on site are for you and the engineer to weigh.

How are the cement bags counted?

The cement per m³ times the volume, divided by the weight of a bag and rounded up to a whole bag.
