How to use it

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool design the work?

No. It counts what a set of dimensions requires. Ratings (thermal, wind, fire, structural), series, hardware and fabrication details come from the manufacturer’s data and the drawings.

Why can I edit the profile, sheet, bar or module values?

They depend on the system and the maker you choose. The values shown are only starting points, never a manufacturer’s reference.

How are the quantities rounded?

The waste percentage is added first, then what has to be bought is rounded up to whole bars, sheets, panels or cabinets.

Does it rate a fire door?

Fire resistance comes only from a certified assembly (door, frame, seals, hardware) tested by its maker: this tool counts materials and never rates a door.
